Us Girls' August Awards 2011 nominees bared

Studio 23's "Us Girls" has revealed the nominees for its 3rd August Awards (2011) and among the nominees are controversial stars like Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Heart Evangelista and more.

You've heard the news about Heart Evangelista vs Marian Rivera over Dingdong Dantes, but for Us Girls' August Awards 2011 to be presented next month, they're not competing against each other, as all three of them are nominated in different categories.

Dingdong Dantes is nominated as Most Fashionable Male alongside John Lloyd Cruz, Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, Jericho Rosales, Jake Cuenca and some other, while girlfriend Marian Rivera is nominated again as Face of the Year along with Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban, Maja Salvador, Jennylyn Mercado and more.

It's already Marian's 2nd consecutive year to get nominated in the said category. During the 2010 August Awards, she got nominated as Face of the Year but lost to Kim Chiu and Kristine Hermosa who tied for the award.

Heart Evangelista meanwhile gets a nod as Most Fashionable Female. Also nominated are Kim Chiu, Rhian Ramos, Georgina Wilson, Isabelle Daza, etc.

Even Heart's boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga is also nominated, but in another category (Bodies of the Year).

The categories Most Fashionable (Male), Bodies of the Year (Male) and Bodies of the Year (Female) are new additions on Us Girls' August Awards for 2011, while two categories in 2010, "Prettiest Teener" and "Make-Up Artist of the Year", have been removed this year.

Who will be Us Girls' Icon of the Year? KC Concepcion and Angel Locsin won the award in 2009 and 2010 respectively. (I have a strong feeling Anne Curtis will get it this 2011.)

Temptation Island: The Goddesses of Beauty talk about their roles in the movie

"The Goddesses of Beauty" Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, Heart Evangelista, Rufa Mae Quinto and Marian Rivera talk about their roles, their favorite scenes and lines in their upcoming movie "Temptation Island".

In the film, Lovi plays Serafina (the brat), Solenn is Pura (the social climber), Heart portrays Virginia (the virgin), Rufa Mae as Nympha (the maid) and Marian is Christina (the crook).

Marian Rivera gets the most daring role in 'Temptation Island'

Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe and Solenn Heussaff lead the cast of "Temptation Island" which will start shooting this month, April 2011.

And Marian reportedly has the most daring role of all, a role which was originally portrayed by Azenith Briones in the 80's version of the film.

When asked about it yesterday on Showbiz Central, Marian said it will be her first time to play such kind of role. "Talagang na-cha-challenge ako na gawin ito, kasi for the first time ko lang gagawin itong character na ito. Pero at least nakausap ko naman si Direk na gagawin ko sya na hindi naman as Azenith, hindi naman ibig sabihin na sobrang kokopyahin ko sya, gagawin ko pa rin as Marian pa rin."

Velvet's Tribute to the Oscars 2011 Photo Exhibit: Local celebs transform as Hollywood actors

John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Heart Evangelista, Dennis Trillo, Azkals and a lot more have transformed into Hollywood actors for Velvet Channel's Best of Hollywood photo exhibit last Thursday.

The said exhibit which was Velvet's tribute to the upcoming Oscars 2011 on Monday was held at the Archaelogy Wing of Power Plant Mall in Rockwell and is still available there for public viewing until March 3.

The Velvet photo exhibit was also a competition and winning the top prize was the team behind "Sherlock Holmes" featuring John Lloyd Cruz as Robert Downey, Jr.

Anne Curtis in another endorsement rivalry, this time with Heart Evangelista

Anne Curtis continues to shine brighter this 2011 with a new movie, a new teleserye and new endorsements.

Luis Manzano and Anne Curtis pair up on Viva Films' "Who's That Girl?" which will be shown on March 2, 2011.

Then Anne is leading the cast of ABS-CBN's "Green Rose", a remake of a Koreanovela and playing leading men to Anne are Jericho Rosales and Jake Cuenca.

"Green Rose" will already premiere this Valentine's Day, February 14, on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida.

One of the well-liked personalities in showbiz with huge followings, it's not surprising that Anne has lots of endorsements.

Just recently, Anne's two new TVCs have been airing on our TV screens and these are the Olay Natural White TVC and the Palmolive Soap ad in addition to her L'Oreal Shampoo commercial which is also airing at times.

But wait a minute, Olay Natural White and Palmolive Soap were previously endorsed by Heart Evangelista right?

Did Anne replace Heart (who happens to be her former co-star in "Hiram") in those two endorsements or she just joined Heart in endorsing the products?

It seems Anne will be facing another "endorsement rivalry" issue after she allegedly replaced Marian Rivera as endorser of SMDC Holdings.

Anne denied in an interview that she replaced Marian in the said endorsement.

While Anne may also appear to be succeeding (and not replacing) Heart in those 2 endorsements, it just goes to show that the pretty "Showtime" host is a sought-after endorser and is definitely now among the top celebrity endorsers in the country.

Daniel Matsunaga kissing on CCTV video is for 'Veet' | New ad comes out today!

Daniel Matsunaga created quite a stir online with his elevator CCTV video posted on Youtube last Sunday.

Daniel Matsunaga was seen on the video kissing a model-type woman who's not Heart Evangelista, his girlfriend.

Some judged him right away, concluding that he's cheating on Heart while others believed it's not a scandal video but possibly only a promotional video for a commercial product.

In my previous post, I already told you that it's indeed a promo for Daniel's new TVC or endorsement which is out Thursday or Friday, as confirmed by my sources, but I still didn't know then what product Daniel is going to endorse.

Thanks to Harold Geronimo, a columnist of Manila Standard Today, 'coz he posted on Twitter just last night that Daniel's elevator video is for Veet, a hair removal product.

According to his tweet, he bumped into Heart and Daniel at Greenbelt and the couple confirmed to him that the Youtube video is only a promotional marketing. "Daniel Matsunaga & Heart Evangelista confirmed elevator video is a viral material for Veet. It will be announced tomorrow (Thursday) thru an ad. Hehe" Geronimo's tweet said.

So there you have it guys. Daniel Matsunaga is NOT GUILTY of cheating on girlfriend Heart Evangelista.

Daniel Matsunaga has a video scandal posted on Youtube where Daniel is shown kissing a woman inside an elevator.

Daniel Matsunaga, who is currently in a relationship with actress Heart Evangelista, is unfortunately caught on CCTV video kissing someone who is not his girlfriend now.

The video was taken just recently, dated January 8, 2011, which could mean the Brapanese model-turned-actor is cheating on Heart.

But that part of the video where Daniel looked at the CCTV before he went out of the elevator could very well mean that it's just a teaser for Daniel's upcoming TVC.

Possibly for the feminine wash brand PH Care?

In 2010, Daniel already appeared in a PH Care TVC along with beauty queen-turned-actress Bianca Manalo.

Or it could be an all-new endorsement of Daniel.

That probably explains why Heart isn't worried at all with that Youtube video of hot boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga.

Mykiru has learned from its own sources that the new TVC or endorsement will come out by Thursday or Friday.

So need not worry guys, especially those fans of Heart. Daniel loves her a lot!

"Dwarfina" pilot episode scores BIG ratings in Mega Manila

January 10, 2011 ratings in Mega Manila are out!

GMA 7 has won really big ratings last night as 6 of its shows are among the Top 10 highest-rating primetime programs, according to the figures released by AGB Nielsen via PEP Scoopbox.

And 5 of the 6 Kapuso shows are all in the top 5.

The network must be thankful most especially for its new show "Dwarfina" whose pilot episode last night scored a high 15.4% rating, beating all competitions.

"Dwarfina" is topbilled by Heart Evangelista and Dennis Trillo.

Iwa Moto not pregnant, plays villain to Heart Evangelista in "Dwarfina"

Iwa Moto is back on TV starting tomorrow, January 10, 2011, as "Dwarfina" begins airing on GMA Telebabad.

Iwa's comeback disproves rumors that she is pregnant and she's also switching networks just like fellow StarStruck alumna Jewel Mische
who's now with ABS-CBN.

If she IS not pregnant, WAS she pregnant? Iwa has denied the other night that she ever got pregnant. "It doesn't mean na hindi ako nakikita, I'm pregnant. And it doesn't mean na bumalik ako ngayon, nagpalaglag na 'ko," Iwa said in an interview by 24 Oras reporter Lhar Santiago.

On "Dwarfina", Iwa plays Lucille, one of the many villains in the life of Yna or Dwarfina played by Heart Evangelista.

"Dwarfina" is GMA 7's first new teleserye this 2010 and is expected to be a top-rating primetime show of the network.

I've noticed that 4 of them are all telefantasya while the other one is a musical dramedy.

That just means, GMA 7 will still capitalize more on fantasy TV series this 2011 and producing non-fantasy drama shows on primetime is really
not their priority.

But those 5 shows look exciting. I'm most excited with Dwarfina, Amaya
and Machete. How about you guys?

Until now, no leading man yet for Marian Rivera in the epic-serye "Amaya". Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo reportedly was offered to be Marian's leading man but I highly doubt if he's gonna switch networks.

12 pairs of stars take on the "Puso ng Pasko: Artista Challenge"

"Puso ng Pasko Artista Challenge" will be replacing Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown which will air its grand finale on December 3, 2010.

Starting December 6 on GMA Telebabad, 12 pairs of celebrities will take on the challenge in "Puso ng Pasko", the 1st ever reality Krismaserye on Philippine TV.

They will all compete in various challenges and win for the 12 families and communities (1 for each pair). Over 5 million worth of prizes are at stake in the competition.

Original hosts of "Puso ng Pasko" were reportedly real-life lovers Dingdong Dantes-Marian Rivera and Drew Arellano-Iya Villania.

But we all know what happened to Iya right? She stayed with ABS-CBN, leaving Drew as host in the show.

Richard Gutierrez meanwhile was supposed to be one of the 12 challengers with Solenn Heussaff as his partner. But Chard eventually backed out. Why? (For sure, you guys could guess the reason why!).

On Showbiz Central yesterday, it was announced that the official hosts of Puso ng Pasko Artista Challenge are Drew Arellano, Rhian Ramos, Vicky Morales and Richard Gutierrez.

Husband-and-wife Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz are last-minute addition as one of the 12 pairs, taking over the slot of Richard & Solenn.

Heart Evangelista removed from the cast of "Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin: Last Na 'To" | Who replaced her?

Heart Evangelista was supposed to be part of Star Cinema's "Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin: Last Na 'To", the 3rd installment of the Tanging Ina series.

But she was already removed from the cast after she allegedly did not show up during the scheduled taping.

ELive's E-Guess Mo segment even had a related blind item about it today, but even if Ogie Diaz did not mention the name of the young actress and the movie title, all clues given were pointing to Heart.

But even before it was featured as a blind item on ELive, the issue was already being talked about a few days ago.

Heart was part of the first "Ang Tanging Ina" movie as one of Ai-Ai delas Alas' a dozen kids, but not in the sequel "Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat" shown during the MMFF 2008.

And for the 3rd movie which is an entry in the upcoming MMFF 2010, Heart was supposed to be reunited with the original cast, some are also returning in the film such as Marvin Agustin, Kaye Abad, Marc Acueza and Nikki Valdez, but that's not gonna happen anymore.

And guess who replaced her?

She's reportedly a beautiful and sexy actress who despite busy sked agreed to do a cameo for the film, just to fill in the role formerly played by Heart.

Heart Evangelista admits dating Daniel Matsunaga

Heart Evangelista has officially admitted that she's dating Brapanese model Daniel Matsunaga.

Last month, Heart broke up with businessman/politician boyfriend for two years Ian Dy and Daniel reportedly caused the breakup.

But just 2 weeks ago, Daniel strongly denied the accusation in an interview.

And just minutes ago, Heart made a tweet confirming that she's dating someone else now and she finds him very nice.

"Yes we are dating :) It's nice :) He is very nice," she said.

Heart and Daniel are co-stars on GMA 7's "Langit Sa Piling Mo".

Heart Evangelista is MMFF 2009 Best Supporting Actress

The role originally intended for Angel Locsin has won for Heart Evangelista a Best Festival Supporting Actress award in the 34th MMFF (2009) Awards Night held earlier at the SMX Convention Center.

Heart won for her in-depth acting in the movie "Mano Po 6" beating other nominees such as her co-star Zsa Zsa Padilla, Kim Chiu for "I Love You Goodbye", Agot Isidro for "Ang Darling Kong Aswang" and Rhian Ramos for "Ang Panday".

It's indeed a blessed 2009 for Heart who already received her first Best Actress award from Urian FAMAS 3rd quarter this year. And before the year ends, here's Heart celebrating again for another hard-earned victory.

Heart Evangelista is FAMAS Best Actress

Heart Evangelista has won for herself her first ever Best Actress trophy during the 57th FAMAS Awards held last night, October 18, 2009, at the PAGCOR Grand Theatre.

She won for the indie film Ay, Ayeng beating other multi-awarded actresses such as Dawn Zulueta, Judy Ann Santos and Sharon Cuneta.

In the past, she already won an acting trophy from PMPC Star Awards, but it was a Most Promising Actress or Best New Movie Actress award for the movie Trip.

It's now Heart's 2nd acting award, but her first major "Best Actress" trophy.

For the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival, Heart stars in the Regal Films' entry Mano Po 6: My Mother as Sharon Cuneta's daughter and depending on her portrayal, she might win another acting trophy.

The Best Actor trophy meanwhile was awarded to Allen Dizon who lately has proven himself as a serious actor after being previously identified as a bold actor.

He won for his self-produced movie "Paupahan" leaving nominees Aga Muhlach, Jericho Rosales, Polo Ravales, Richard Gutierrez and John Estrada behind.

It's already Allen's second FAMAS award. The first time was in 2007 when he won as Best Supporting Actor for "Twilight Dancers", which also gave him his 1st acting trophy during the PMPC Star Awards the same year.

"Paupahan" stars Snooky Serna and German Moreno were the night's Best Supporting Actress and Actor respectively.

It's Snooky's second Best Supporting Actress award this year for the same movie. She also won at the PMPC Star Awards.

As for FAMAS, it's already her third. She was previously honored as Best Actress in 1994 for "Koronang Itim" and as Best Child Actress in 1972 for "My Little Angel".

The year 2009 is also Kuya Germs' year as he scored his second Best Supporting Actor honor for "Paupahan". He also won the same award at the PMPC Star Awards.

It's interesting to note that FAMAS has a special award in honor of Kuya Germs' name, the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award which was handed out to the loveteams of Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson and Aljur Abrenica-Kris Bernal.

Sarah Geronimo was actually the night's big winners with her two victories: as Golden Artist Awardee and another one for Best Movie Theme Song (Ngayon, Bukas at Kailanman) from the movie "Baler" which was declared Best Picture.

Jessica Mae Flores and Dominico Soriano, child stars from the movie "Ay, Ayeng", were Best Child Actress and Best Child Actor respectively.
