New York Fashion Week's Hottest Trends
  New York Fashion Week was the first of the  fashion capitals to debut their Spring 2012 collections. We eagerly  awaited New York's best and brightest designers to share with us the  looks soon-to-be gracing the red carpet and the pages of Vogue.  From bold citrus hues to plunging necklines, Art Deco color-blocking to  ladylike frivolities, we have gathered the hottest 20 trends fresh off  the runway. Let the coveting begin!

Art Deco Dreaming
 Elongated silhouettes, clean angular lines and  blocks of bold color accompanied with pencil-thin detailing all depict  the art deco trend that took the Spring 2012 runways by storm. J. Mendel's  collection was particularly restrained in it's sleek silhouettes and  showed Art Deco influence in ever piece from his beaded column dress to  his color-blocked chiffon dresses. BCBG's line heavily featured  geometric designs and Carolina Herrera was also inspired by the distinct artistic styling.

Taking the Plunge
 We were introduced to the plunging neckline trend  for Fall 2011, but according to NYFW's Spring shows, we can look forward to more sexy sternums. Ralph Lauren's  runway dazzled with an ultra-glamorous beaded sliver gown with an  extreme v, while all walks of design styles—from preppy and retro to  dark and edgy—followed suit.
