The Top 16 teams in the FIFA World Cup 2010 are now complete and will all advance to the Round of 16 which starts tomorrow, June 26.
The World
Cup 2006 Champion (Italy) is no longer part of the game. Team Italy was eliminated yesterday after it failed to beat Slovakia.
Team France, who was 2nd place in 2006, also failed to advance.
The 16 Teams who advanced to Stage 2 (Round of 16) are:
1. Uruguay (World Ranking: #16)
2. Mexico (WR: #17)
3. Argentina (WR: #7)
4. Korea Republic (WR: #47)
5. England (WR: #8)
6. USA (WR: #14)
7. Germany (WR: #6)
8. Ghana (WR: #32)
9. Paraguay (WR: #31)
10. Slovakia (WR: #34)
11. Netherlands (WR: #4)
12. Japan (WR: #45)
13. Brazil (WR: #1)
14. Portugal (WR: #3)
15. Spain (WR: #2)
16. Chile (WR: #18)
I'm so much happy for Asian teams Korea Republic and Japan. They're
least in the ranking but managed to make it to Round of 16 and will compete with the giant teams.
