Singapore will hold Singfest 2010 this August 3 to 5 at the Fort Canning Park.
The Singfest is considered the biggest music festival in South East Asia. Though it started in 2007, it's only the 3rd time that the
Singfest will be held this 2010 because there was no Singfest staged last year.
The line-up of performers have already been announced and they're highly diverse, coming from various countries. They include:
(US)
rapper/producer Kanye West
"I Kissed A Girl" singer Katy Perry
rock band Smashing Pumpkins
singer Diane Birch
rock band 30 Seconds To Mars
(KOREA)
"Nobody" hitmaker Wonder Girls
(AUSTRALIA)
singer and guitarist Orianthi (Michael Jackson's guitarist in "This Is It")
(CANADA)
heavy metal band Hail the Villain
(ENGLAND)
musician Ian Brown
(SINGAPORE)
3 artists yet to be revealed
Midas Productions, the producers, has promised that more performers
will be announced as the festival draws near. [I hope they invite a Filipino artist :-)]
Tickets for Singfest 2010 are priced at $175 and can be booked at Sistic website.
In the 2008 Singfest, performers were Alicia Keys, OneRepublic, Panic
at the Disco, Jason Mraz, Rick Astley, Simple Plan and the Pussycat Dolls while in 2007, Black Eyed Peas, Shaggy, Sugar Ray and Cyndi Lauper were in the line-up.
