More and more videos are being uploaded on Youtube concerning about what happened between Kanye West and Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA 2009) last Sunday, September 13, 2009.
It can be recalled that during the VMAs, Kanye interrupted Taylor's acceptance speech when she won the award for Best Female Video.
Swift began her speech with this:
"Thank you so much! I always dreamed about what it would be like to maybe win one of these some day, but I never actually thought it would have happened. I sing country music so thank you so much for giving me a chance to win a VMA award...”
But Kanye West interrupted, grabbed the microphone and said:
“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of ALL TIME!”
Swift was shocked and was unable to finish her speech. Even Beyonce was visibly stunned. The audience however gave Swift a standing ovation because of that.
Later that evening, when Beyonce won Best Video of the Year for "Moonman", she invited Swift to come up the stage and have her own moment to finish her interrupted speech.
Kanye's outburst is now considered the most infamous act in VMA history.
Kanye later apologized to Swift via his blog and a lot more happened after that.
US President Barack Obama called West a jackass for that incident, Swift guested on "The View", Kanye made a public apology at The Jay Leno Show and Swift finally accepted West's apology.
But some people still could not easily forget what happened.
In fact, there's a spoof going the rounds on the net about Kanye West interrupting Patrick Swayze Funeral Service.
The spoof says Kanye West stole a moment at Swayze's funeral service and said: "I'm happy for you Patrick and I'll let them finish your service in a minute but I just wanted to say that Michael Jackson had one of the best funerals ever!"
Funny, but hope we can just respect the dead people.
Meanwhile, on Youtube, there are more than a hundred newly uploaded videos of Kanye West - Taylor Swift VMA incident, but most of them are video responses, which are getting millions of hits and eating most of the spaces in the site.
In fact, one uploader airing his reaction about the incident has earned more than three million views already in just 2 days and one of the most discussed and most viewed videos this month.
Because of the numerous video responses, you can now hardly find the actual video of what happened at the VMAs.
