Bestfriends Richard Hardin and Richard Herrera aka The Riches emerged
as winners of The Amazing Race Asia 4 (TARA 4), as revealed on its finale episode tonight on AXN.
The Riches, who are both Filipino-Americans representing the
Philippines, took home a cash prize of $100,000 (close to P4.5million).
There were three remaining teams who competed during the 10th and final challenge in Singapore, and it was the Riches who topped the race for
the last time, beating Singapore's Claire and Michelle who finished 2nd, and the father-and-daughter tandem of Hussein and Natasha from Indonesia, who came 3rd.
The Riches indeed recovered from a so-so performance during the 8th and
9th leg, and proved they were after all the strongest pair in the game.
Of the Final 3, it was actually Richard & Richard who had the best over-all performance during the past 9 legs before the finals. They were 1st placer twice, were 2nd six times and were in the Bottom 2 only once.
They become the 1st ever pair from the Philippines to win in The Amazing Race Asia.
During the 2nd season, Marc Nelson and Rovilson Hernandez finished 3rd, while Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang almost won Season 3 when they placed 2nd.
Congrats to the Riches! (They're getting richer and richer.)
