Jennifer Scherman from Argentina (center) was crowned Miss World Cup 2010 or Miss WM (Welt Meisterschaft) held Friday, June 4, in Rust, Germany.
17-year-old student Jennifer is actually half-German. She was born in Germany to an Argentine father and a German mom.
32 candidates competed in Miss World Cup 2010 pageant, which was patterned from the FIFA World Cup.
The candidates representing the 32 teams in the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa were divided into 8 groups of 4 and only 2 from each group advanced to the semis. They also had football activities and during the finals, they paraded in their national team jersey costumes, evening gowns, casual wear and swimsuit.
Miss Argentina despite being the youngest was crowned the over-all winner and received 5,000 Euro and a special trip to Egypt. Miss Greece Katerina Giannoglou, 28 years old, was 1st Runner Up and Miss Netherlands Avalon-Chanel Weijzig, 20, was 2nd Runner Up.
Avalon-Chanel, if you still remember her, competed in the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants last year.
Just like FIFA World Cup, previous Miss World Cup pageant was also held 4 years ago with Togo, Spain and Ecuador as winners.
