The ECE Board Exam Results 2011 or the results for the April 2011 Licensure Exam for Electronics and Communications Engineers (ECE) have just been released Thursday night, April 14, 2011.
A total of 1,170 passed the Electronics Engineers Board Exam out of 2,602 examinees who took the exam last April 10 and 11.
Billy Joe Rivera from Mapua Institute of Technology topped the ECE Board Exam with a grade of 92.50%.
The 2nd placer, Jian Carlo Zapata, and actually most of the placers in the Top 10 are from Mapua.
But the top performing school was the University of Sto. Tomas which has 59 passers out of 71 examinees or a passing rate 83.10%. UST was the only one who got above 80% passing percentage among those schools with more than 50 examinees.
Interestingly, all those 59 passers from UST were all repeaters or those who took the ECE Board Exam for the 2nd time.
Mapua actually has the highest number of passers, a total of 142 (69 are repeaters), but their over-all performance was pulled down by 96 examinees who failed to pass. As a result, their passing rate was only 51.82%.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FROM THE PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION (PRC) as stated on its official website prc.gov.ph:
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, April 25, 2011 but not later than May 6, 2011. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2011-2014. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board in MANILA on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
