AJ Perez dead in vehicular accident | He was only 18. So young!

AJ Perez has died in a vehicular accident early morning Sunday, April 17, 2011.

ABS-CBN News has reported that AJ Perez and 5 companions including his dad Gerardo Perez were on their way home from a show in Dagupan when they met an unfortunate accident along MacArthur Highway in Brgy. San Julian, Tarlac.

The report said that an ABS-CBN van where AJ was seated at the backseat collided with a Partas provincial passenger bus.

He was rushed to the hospital but was declard dead-on-arrival.

AJ's companions were reportedly also injured and were rushed to the hospital. But it was AJ who was hit the worst in the accident.

His death is truly one big shocking news to the whole showbiz industry as he is a fast-rising star on ABS-CBN, a talented actor, a well-loved teen idol and to top it all, he's still so young.

AJ Perez (Real Name: Antonello Joseph Sarte Perez) only turned 18 last February 17.

Have you noticed? AJ Perez's favorite number was 17 coz he was born on the 17th. And now, he died also on the 17th. His twitter handle also had 17 on it (@ajperez17) and his basketball jersey shirt in La Salle Greenhills was also numbered 17, as seen in this picture:

Got this photo of AJ Perez and Rico Yan from FashionPulis.com. So creepy indeed.

Both AJ and Rico died on Holy Week. AJ died on Palm Sunday, while Rico died in March 29, 2002 (Good Friday) at age 27.

They were also both a La Sallista.

A regular performer on ASAP Rocks as one of the Giggerboys, AJ Perez got his biggest break on TV when he played leading man to Jessy Mendiola in "Sabel".

He has also finished shooting an episode for MMK, which will air on April 30.

A teaser of it was already shown on TV last night, and it's definitely AJ's most challenging role ever.

In the movies, he starred in four MMFF movies: "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo, "Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo", "Bahay Kubo" and "Magkaibigan".

Last year alone, AJ starred in 3 films: "Babe I Love You", "Cinco" (in a lead role) and "Mamarazzi".

This 2011, he was supposed to star in a Star Cinema with Mara Clara stars Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes and Albie Casino.

Considered as one the hottest and cutest teen stars, Candy Magazine has consistently named him as one of its Candy Cuties year after year.

In 2010, AJ ranked the 3rd cutest in the mag's Celeb Candy Cuties for the year.

Just last February, he graced the cover of men's fashion magazine Garage.

Here's a video of AJ during the shoot for his "last" magazine cover:
