The host candidate Ji-kwang Yoo has captured the Mr. World Talent 2010 title earlier tonight in Gyeongju, Korea.
The 24-year-old aspiring singer from Korea performed a beautiful rendition of James Ingram's hit "Just Once" which was well-received by the audience and earned the highest scores from the judges which included Miss World 2009 Kaiane Aldorino.
20 finalists performed during the evening and beat all his competitors including Willem Vermuyten from Belgium who was expected to win the title by his fellow candidates.
Mr. Belgium (left) who did a touching and heartwarming piano recital placed 2nd while Mr. Russia Sergey Kolenchikov (right) who performed a fitness and samurai dance number was in 3rd place.
In the Top 6 were the candidates from Kenya (Lwanda Kotengo, 1st from the right), South Africa (Jaco De Bruyn, 1st from left) and Venezuela (Jose Flores, 2nd from right).
Other MrTalent finalists were the contestants from Bahamas, Cyprus, Czech Republic, England, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Martinique, Nigeria, Swaziland and USA.
And just like in Miss World pageant where the Talent Show winner is fast-tracked to the finals, the Mr. World Talent winner has also been guaranteed a slot in the finals as announced by the end of the show.
Congrats Mr. Korea for being the first semi-finalist of this year's pageant!
The finals of Mr. World 2010 will be staged on March 27 at the Songdo Convesia.
