MTRCB has come up with a final and executory decision today to suspend for 1 month the ABS-CBN toprating daytime program "Showtime".
It is still in connection with the Rosanna Roces incident in January when the actress made insulting remarks against teachers.
That time, MTRCB issued a 20-day preventive suspension on January 11 but was lifted a week after by the Court of Appeals.
MTRCB has also not allowed ABS-CBN this time to replace it with "Magpasikat" which they did in January or any talent competition program.
It's MTRCB's final decision on the controversial incident but according to ABS-CBN, it's not yet final and can't be enforced yet as of this time thus the network will make an appeal to the Office of the President who governs MTRCB.
"Showtime" is going to have its 5th Monthly Finals tomorrow and we shall know if MTRCB will still allow them to hold it since the suspension should start today.
The program is currently one of the 2 highest-rating shows both in Mega Manila and nationwide.
