It seems like the 6th "Harry Potter" movie is targeting the teen audience more than the kiddies.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which opens in the US this July 15 (July 16 in the Philippines), has lots of kissing scenes involving the three main actors.
Harry Potter himself Daniel Radcliffe has a kissing scene with Bonnie Wright who plays Ginny, younger sister of Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint).
It was actually a second kiss for Harry Potter, but already a third on-screen kiss for Daniel Radcliffe.
In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry got to kiss Cho Chang (Katie Leung) while Radcliffe's 1st on-screen kiss was in the movie December Boys.
Ron on one hand also has his own kissing scene in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with the lovely Hermione (played by Emma Watson).
In one interview, Emma confessed it was an awkward thing for her to do the kissing scene.
“It was the most horrible thing I’ve ever had to do. There are millions of girls out there who would probably chop their left arm off to kiss, but it just felt like incest. That’s the only way I can describe it," she said.
Rupert also felt the same thing.
“It’s not something I’d say I’m dreading. Emma’s a pretty girl. As for who has the worst crush on her - me or Radcliffe - I’d rather not say...We’ve known each other for 10 years so it was a bit like kissing my sister,” he confessed.
But the kissing scenes though are still wholesome, and considered safer than the violence, scary images and mild sensuality the movie has.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince got a PG rating, meaning some scenes may not be suitable for children but it's up to the parents to decide whether or not they would allow their kids to watch the film.
See you in theaters tom peeps!!!
