Miss Universe 2009 National Costume Competition

The eighty-four (84) candidates for the Miss Universe 2009 were back in action once more yesterday, August 10, after the hot bikini fashion show held last Sunday.

The candidates paraded in their glossy and grandeous attires for the Miss Universe 2009 National Costume Competition at the Rainforest Theater, Wyndham Hotel in Bahamas.

Miss Canada Mariana Valente's national costume was surprising but delightful to see during the competition.

But of course, many anticipated for Miss Japan Emiri Miyasaka's new costume after her supposed national costume was badly criticized by the Japanese people.

Take a look at some of the national costumes...

MISS UNIVERSE 2009 SCOOP

*Miss Netherlands Avalon Chanel has called Miss China Wang Jingyao as "crazy". (crazy meaning funny and not insane). On her Twitter account, Avalon tweeted that she finds the Chinese beauty as the funniest of all the delegates.

She also cited down three most spontaneous ladies in the pageant and they are Misses Canada, Australia and Zambia.

She also finds the host delegate, Miss Bahamas, as a very sweet person.

Which girls are very beautiful in real? Miss Netherlands cites Misses Kosovo, Dominican Republic, Belgium and France.

Avalon also shared one interesting thing about Miss USA. She told her Twitter followers that the first thing Miss USA asked her when they met was "From the Netherlands, wow so you smoke weed?".

*During the swimsuit presentation last Sunday, highly applauded candidates were Miss Bahamas of course, Jamaica, USA and the Philipines due to a large number of supporters in the crowd.

*For me, the best in swimsuit during their presentation last Sunday were Misses Angola, Bahamas, Ghana, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Japan, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Colombia, France, Peru, Mexico, Slovak Republic, Sweden and USA.

*Miss Australia Rachael Finch reveals in an interview for an Aussie newspaper that she finds Miss USA Kristen Dalton, whom she considers as a new friend, as wonderful, beautiful, smart and very cute. But will Miss USA be happy to hear that Miss Australia also shared that the former talks while she sleeps?
