Charice with Boyz II Men, Jessica Simpson, Josh Groban & Kylie Minogue

The Christmas in Rockefeller Center is an annual special by NBC and for 2010, Charice was among the topnotch performers along with Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Josh Groban, Jessica Simpson, Kylie Minogue, Susan Boyle and many others.

It was shown at 8PM Tuesday on NBC (Wednesday morning in Manila).

Georgina Wilson graces Cosmopolitan Philippines cover this December 2010

The super gorgeous Georgina Wilson lands on the December 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan Philippines.

She's so lovely, isn't she? Cosmo describes Georgina as someone who has both beauty and brains. I totally agree.

It's actually refreshing to see Georgina, a model and VJ, on Cosmopolitan cover 'coz the mag has always featured teleserye or movie stars in the country, or any extra famous celebs from Hollywood on its
cover.

I actually thought that a Kapuso star will be Cosmo's last cover girl for 2010 'coz it had mostly Kapamilya stars on its cover this year and
only 1 Kapuso (Marian Rivera).

With Georgina as its cover girl, Cosmo has actually made its smartest choice this 2010.

I'll definitely grab a copy of Cosmopolitan December 2010 issue, which also has the super nice and super hot Fabio Ide as its Man on Fire for
the month.

Iya Villania poses sexy as Tanduay Rhum 2011 Calendar Girl

TV host-actress Iya Villania shed off her wholesome image as she posed sexy for Tanduay Rhum 2011 Calendar.

Iya Villania Tanduay Rhum 2011 calendar girl

Wearing 6 different swimsuits, Iya is photographed also in various
shots and poses for the 2011 calendar.

Her poses are actually not so provocative but the Aussie-raised
Filipino is so seductive, saucy hot, sexy and very classy.
Did I miss any adjective to describe her?

And the very fact that Iya is showing lots of skin for the first time,
her Tanduay Rhum 2011 Calendar definitely would leave many jaws dropping for her.

Expect a lot more daring Iya Villania in 2011. An FHM cover perhaps would be next for her.

Check out more Iya's photos for Tanduay Rhum 2011 calendar:

Previous Tanduay Rhum Calendar Girls were Katrina Halili (2007), Ehra Madrigal (2008), Bangs Garcia (2009) and Niña Jose (2010).

Jessy Mendiola gets biggest break as "Sabel" | Her leading men: AJ Perez & Joseph Marco

Pretty young actress Jessy Mendiola will play Sabel in the TV remake of the 1981 Joey Gosiengfiao film "Bata Pa Si Sabel" which starred Snooky Serna and Albert Martinez.

Jessy Mendiola is Sabel

The 2010 remake is now simply titled as "Sabel" which marks Jessy's most daring role and her biggest break since being launched as Star Magic Batch 15 member in 2007.

But prior to "Sabel", Jessy actually was already getting good breaks. She played leading lady to the Giggerboys in "Your Song Presents: Boystown", was paired with Coco Martin in "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" and led the young cast of "Gimik 2010".

Also getting their biggest breaks in "Sabel" are Giggerboys member AJ Perez and former GMA Artist Center talent Joseph Marco as Jessy's leading men.

AJ Perez for SabelJoseph Marco in Sabel

Both attractive young men, here's how Jessy describes them on Twitter when asked by one of her followers as to who's more cute between AJ and Joseph: "cute si AJ, hunk si Joseph. Ha ha!"

A teaser is already being shown on TV and many have noticed that it's
like "Katorse" aired last year and starred Erich Gonzales as Nene,
Ejay Falcon, Enchong Dee and even Jessy herself in a guest role.

Even the promo shots above remind us very much of the said hit soap, which was also a remake of an 80's movie.

But Jessy is quick to differentiate "Sabel" from "Katorse" on Twitter
and she said, "Parehas pong daring pero iba story and characteristics
ni Nene at Sabel".

"Sabel" also stars Tonton Gutierrez, Glydel Mercado, Rita Avila and Raymond Bagatsing. It will replace Kokey @ Ako starting December 6,
just 3 days after Jessy's 18th birthday.

Catch full trailer of "Sabel" tomorrow, November 29, after Mara Clara.

New Kapamilya Jewel Mische starts workshop with Star Magic, to be paired with Gerald Anderson in "Bagwis"

Former GMA / Kapuso artist Jewel Mische has started her first assignment as a new ABS-CBN / Kapamilya talent, and that is to undergo
an extensive workshop.

Last Thursday, Jewel already submitted herself for a workshop under
Star Magic, her new management, along with other talents.

Jewel is the latest "Starstruck" graduate to transfer to ABS-CBN following Paul Salas, Megan Young, Cristine Reyes, Johan Santos, Tyrone Perez and Piero Vergara.

But unlike them, Jewel was a grand winner of StarStruck, during its 4th Season, which also had Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal and Mart Escudero as winners or what the show called as Ultimate Survivors.
Thus, Jewel is the 1st StarStruck winner to move to ABS-CBN.

It's understandable why Jewel has always wanted to switch networks since 3rd quarter of 2010 because she was never given the best break while with GMA 7, where she was under contract for more than 3 years.

Other than being a StarStruck winner, the 20-year-old actress is only best known as the ex-girlfriend of Richard Gutierrez.

So maybe with ABS-CBN, Jewel will finally shine at her brightest.

Nothing is final yet, but she is said to be joining an existing
primetime Kapamilya teleserye soon.

And for a potential loveteam, Jewel is going to be paired up with Gerald Anderson in the action-drama-serye "Bagwis".

Kapamilya(s) out there, how do you find the new loveteam?

"Shoutout" loveteam? Sam Concepcion & Ivan Dorschner, so sweet and tight!

Teen cutie Sam Concepcion spotted giving another cutie Ivan Dorschner an extra sweet and tight hug. And obviously Ivan liked it!

It reminds me of a scene from "Titanic" and "Brokeback Mountain".
Sobrang cheesy!

Is SamVan the next loveteam to rival TriVan, BretZie, JamLi or JaeVon? Pwede!

But seriously...

The photo was taken during their pictorial for "Shoutout" early this week.

Sam is one of Shoutout's daily hosts while Ivan will be part of the
Friends-Thurs group.

Catch Sam and Ivan on "Shoutout" every weekday afternoon, starting Monday, November 29, right after Down With Love.

ASAP XV in Baguio this Nov. 28 | Giggerboys to welcome new member Benjamin De Guzman

ABS-CBN's musical variety show ASAP XV will be having a live presentation in Baguio City this coming Sunday, November 28, 2010.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the 2nd time that ASAP will be staging a show in Baguio. The first time was in March 30, 2003.

And just like the first one, this Sunday's show will be held at the Melvin Jones Grandstand in Baguio's famous landmark Burnham Park.

For sure, the temperature now in Baguio is so cold, but the ASAP artists will definitely turn on the heat there just like what they did on their Boracay Summer Special last March.

A lot of Kapamilya stars will show up in the Baguio Special including the PBB Teen Clash Loveteams. And it's exciting to know who will be doing a prod with James Reid? Devon Seron or Ann Li? Or both?

Giggerboys will also welcome its newest member and they're still keeping it a secret until Sunday.

But you'll know it here first, only here on Mykiru, that the new Giggerboys member to be launched this Sunday is new Kapamilya Benjamin De Guzman.

Benjamin De Guzman Jr

If ever it's not Benjamin, that could only mean they've changed their mind. Lol!

Benjamin will also be part of "Shoutout" as member of the Friends-Thurs group.

Formerly JR De Guzman, he is a former Kapuso talent (Daisy Siete: Adam or Eve; Ka-Blog) and also from the Kapatid Network (Midnight DJ, My Driver Sweet Lover, BFGF, P.O.5).

In the 2009 PMPC Star Awards for TV, Benjamin won as Best New Male TV Personality tied with Zaijian Jaranilla. Just last month, he was named by Candy Mag as one of its Top 10 Regular Candy Cuties.

A main endorser of Olive-C soap and a familiar face on TV commercials, he already had major appearances on TVCs for Jollibee, Judge Chewing Gum, Smart, Coca-Cola, Argentina Beef Loaf, Poten-Cee Forte and (still airing) Buddy Crackers.

So what can you say about the new Giggerboys member?

Sid Lucero loses to British actor Bob Hoskins at International Emmy Awards 2010

Filipino actor Sid Lucero failed to win as Best Actor at the 38th International Emmy Awards held last night, November 22, 2010, at the Hilton New York Hotel.

He lost the award to 68-year-old British actor Bob Hoskins, who was already a Golden Globe winner and an Oscar nominee.

Sid, who travelled to New York for the event, was nominated for his role in ABS-CBN's "Dahil May Isang Ikaw", which was also competing for the Best Telenovela award but it also lost to Portugal's "My Love".

The 29-year-old actor was the 3rd Filipino and the first Filipino actor to score an acting nod at Int'l Emmy nomination and that alone makes him a winner.

He shared on Twitter that he got the chance to shake hands with American Idol ex-judge Simon Cowell, who was there to receive the International Emmy Founders Award.

There were 10 awards at stake in the said event and half of them were won by the United Kingdom while the rest was won by Romania, Israel, South Korea, Argentina and Portugal.

Moi Marcampo is out! Survivor Philippines now down to its Final 4

Piolo Pascual's former yaya Moi Marcampo has been voted off tonight from Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown.

It was a surprising elimination for the viewers who never thought that it would be Moi.

Though he voted against Moi, Akihiro Sato was visibly shocked with the results. He thought he's next to exit the game following the immunity challenge, which caused conflict between him and Aubric (Aubrey Miles-Ervic Vijandre). (Related story HERE)

Aubric, Aki and Solenn Heussaff are now the Final 4 of Survivor
Philippines Celebrity Showdown.

Moi's failure to reach Top 4 disproves the rumor which circulated when the show premiered August 30 that she's the Sole Survivor of the season.

The rumor was believed to have started from 2 "Kapamilya" Twitter users (one is a comedian) who probably wanted to spoil the show.

Tonight's episode was full of excitement as Ervic and Akihiro were confrontational as they shared how they feel about each other, still in connection with their face-off during the immunity challenge.

Aki said that he should have not joined Survivor Philippines if he knew that it's gonna be a dirty game. When asked by host Richard Gutierrez about what he learned from the game, he said, "I've learned 3 things that in this game, you have to be plastic, you have to be selfish and you have to be liar."

But surprisingly, despite that heated exchange of words, the two didn't vote off each other.

Ejay Falcon faces naked photo scandal on his 21st birthday

It was Ejay Falcon's 21st birthday yesterday, November 21, and in the Philippines, 21st birthday is a "debut" celebration for men.

Ejay, who just came from India after shooting a movie with Robin Padilla, Mariel Rodriguez and Queenie Padilla, for sure had a special celebration yesterday.

But in time for his birthday, Ejay received a "special gift", a gift that he wouldn't want to receive...and that is the issue about a scandalous photo of him, which was reported on The Buzz yesterday.

It's actually an old photo scandal being revived by The Buzz. In fact, I already blogged about it back in May 2009, during his "Katorse" days. (Read: Ejay Falcon Photo Scandal)

Ejay Falcon shirtless, sleeping on bed

The scandal is very much like that scene above from one of his teleseryes where he's caught sleeping. He actually has some "sleeping" pictures over HERE but I've always believed that the guy in the alleged scandalous picture is not really Ejay.

But at least, Ejay was finally able to react on that for the first time. He vehemently denied that he's the one in the photo scandal.

“Matagal na po ‘yon. Pagkalabas ko ng PBB, lumabas na ‘yon. Dalawa ‘yon. May video pa na ako nakatalikod naman daw. Pero ako, alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi po ako ‘yon. Mas kakabahan ako kung mukha ko talaga ‘yong nakikita. Marami naman po akong kamukha. Hindi nila mapapatunayan na ako talaga ‘yon,” he told The Buzz.

Ejay Falcon, who's proving to be one of the hottest Kapamilya leading men, will soon be paired with Empress Schuck in a Robin Padilla-Bea Alonzon teleserye. He's also part of "Father Jejemon", an official entry in the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.
