Rivermaya drummer Mark Escueta and singer-actress Jolina Magdangal are now engaged!

The wedding engagament was officially announced by Mark Escueta and Jolina Magdangal themselves last Sunday, June 5, 2011, on GMA 7's Party Pilipinas while Jolina was celebrating her 21st showbiz anniversary in the show.

Jolina performed first the Beatles song "With A Little Help From My Friends" along with Jaya, Kyla and Rachelle Ann Go then she was joined on stage by her closest friends Jan Marini Alano and Roselle Nava.

Ogie Alcasid and Janno Gibbs later joined them singing Rivermaya's "You'll Be Safe Here" and Mark Escueta made a grand entrance with a bouquet of flowers for his future wife.

Jolina is 32 years old while Mark is 35 years old.

On Ricky Lo's FUNFARE article last Sunday, the "pamamanhikan" was held last May 12 and Mark's romantic wedding proposal to Jolina happened on May 20 at a park in Tahanan Village, Parañaque City.

They're boyfriend-girlfriend for 2 years.

Pia Guanio engaged to Steve Mago, wedding not yet set

Pia Guanio is engaged to marry Steve Mago, her non-showbiz boyfriend for almost a year, after she broke up with Eat Bulaga co-host Vic Sotto, her boyfriend for 7 long years.

Pia Guanio confirmed she's engaged to her boyfriend on last night's newscast of 24 Oras, where she is the showbiz news anchor.

According to Pia, the engagement happened last Saturday, May 7, but no date has been set yet for the wedding.

That confirms Ricky Lo's article on The Philippine Star early this week that Pia was engaged to Steve Mago in a secret engagement last May 7 held at Pia's rest house in Tagaytay.

According to Lo, even Pia's Eat Bulaga's co-hosts had no idea of the engagement.

In April, Pia Guanio and Steve Mago were allegedly the couple in kissing pictures which were posted at FashionPulis.com.

Stefanie Sun wedding with longtime boyfriend Nadim van der Ross was held Sunday, May 8, in Singapore.

The wedding of Stefanie Sun (aka Sun Yan Zi) was a private wedding attended only by family and close friends.Even Singaporean media was not invited, according to channelnewsasia.com.

Stefanie Sun, 32, is a popular Mandarin pop (Mandopop) singer in Singapore, while Nadim van der Ross, 33, is a Dutch-Indonesian business executive.

The two were boyfriend-girlfriend for 5 years before they finally settled yesterday, May 8.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton's honeymoon details have been "slightly" revealed.

According to the website, Kate and William's first night as a couple was at the Buckingham Palace and they only left Saturday morning.

And the couple opted not to leave the United Kingdom for their honeymoon. However, it wasn't disclosed where in the UK Prince William and Kate are spending their private weekend now.

The official statement said that Prince William will immediately go back to work as a Search and Rescue pilot on Monday.

But as expected, Kate and William are not gonna tell the world exactly where they're going to spend their royal honeymoon.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately. Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week.
The locations of both their private weekend before The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance.
The Couple have asked that their privacy be respected during the coming weekend and during their honeymoon."

Kate Middleton's first royal job? Kate kneels down before Prince William

Kate Middleton was caught on cam in an awkward moment at her royal wedding with Prince William yesterday, April 29.

A picture, which shows Kate Middleton kneeling down before Prince William at the Buckingham Palace balcony, has started to circulate on social networking sites hours after the wedding and even inspired a fan page which now has thousands of fans.

I'm not sure where it originally came from, but I saw it being tweeted by @josepvinaixa and has been retweeted many times on Twitter.

People say, it's Kate Middleton's first royal "job" or duty as Duchess of Cambridge haha.

Is the picture fake or not? Maybe it was a slightly photoshopped one 'coz I found a photo from Twitpic, where it has two kids instead of one and unlike in the above photo, Kate's head here is a bit far from Prince William:

But, did it really happen that Kate Middleton knelt down before Prince William?

Yes, it really happened. Here's a screenshot from the royal wedding livestream from Youtube and you can see there that Prince William even held Kate's head as she knelt down in front of him, probably to pick up something:

The sweet royal wedding kiss of Kate Middleton and Prince Middleton happened at the balcony of the Buckingham Palace before the royal wedding reception started.

And it was witnessed by thousands of people who gathered at The Mall, making that kiss as Kate and William's first ever public kiss.

Boracay Wedding of Rachel Alejandro and Carlos Santamaria (Photos)

Pinay singer Rachel Alejandro, 36, and Thailand-based Spanish reporter Carlos Santamaria, 30, got married at sunset in Shangri-la Boracay Saturday, April 9, 2011.

The beautiful beach wedding was attended by only family members and close friends, among them were singer Geneva Cruz and actor-director Ricky Rivero who stood as maid-of-honor and man-of-honor respectively.

Stage director Bobby Garcia and Rachel's manager Girlie Rodis were among the principal sponsors.

Rachel Alejandro and Carlos Santamaria are now in Maldives for their honeymoon.

As reported in the news before, their Boracay wedding was one of their 2 weddings set for this year.

Another wedding is set in Carlos' hometown in Spain.

Barbie Hsu's wedding to Wang Xiao Fei was held earlier today, March 22, 2011, at a luxury hotel and resort in Hainan Province, Sanya, China.

34-year-old Barbie Hsu, who rose to fame across Asia including the Philippines as San Cai in the Taiwanese drama "Meteor Garden" married Chinese millionaire Wang Xiao Fei, 30, who owns the hotel where the wedding was held.

Among the guests at Barbie Hsu's wedding was Super Junior's member Hangeng.

Hangeng and Barbie Hsun plus Wu Chun (of Hana Kimi) star together in the movie "My Kingdom" which will be released this 2011.

The wedding of Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto held in January was still the most popular item on Mykiru Isyusero last February, that no other new stories and posts were able to beat the post about their wedding, which was also the #1 Most Viewed Post for the month of January.

There was a wedding held in February, the John Estrada-Priscilla Meirelles nuptial, but unfortunately, it only ranked 16th on Mykiru's monthly rundown of the 20 most popular posts on this blog.

John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles wedding photos

Award-winning Filipino actor John Estrada married Brazilian Miss Earth 2004 titleholder Priscilla Meirelles in a beach wedding held just this afternoon, February 26, 2011, at the Thunderbird Resorts at Poro Point in San Fernando, La Union.

John, 37, and Priscilla, 27, were visibly in their happiest moment as they tied the knot in a sunset wedding in front of their family and friends, some of which are Priscilla's family and close friends who flew all the way from Brazil.

A beauty queen that she is, Priscilla was absolutely beautiful in her white wedding gown designed by Randy Ortiz.

Of course, John, who's being married for the 2nd time, was certainly in his most handsome form and his aura says like it's really his dream
wedding with his dream girl. This is it!

Richard Gomez stood as John's Best Man replacing Willie Revillame while John's 13-year-old son Yuan was the Junior Best Man and his three daughters, Inah, Moira and Kaila, were among the bridesmaids.

Among the principal sponsors were Bench owner Ben Chan, ABS-CBN exec Cory Vidanes and cosmetic surgeon Dra. Vicki Belo.

Also part of the wedding entourage were showbiz personalities like Gabby Concepcion, Lorna Tolentino, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Ogie Alcasid, Randy Santiago, Anjo Yllana, Lucy Torres-Gomez, Ginger Conejero and Sandra Seifert.

Truly a star-studded event, attendees included Mother Lily Monteverde, Hayden Kho, Sam Milby, Vina Morales and Kris Aquino.

Sharon Cuneta, who's supposed to be a veil sponsor, wasn't spotted at the event for an obvious reason (Vicki and Hayden were there).

Kristine and Oyo wedding video now up!

The wedding video of Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto can be seen now at the Vimeo account of wedding videographer Bong Sare.

And as of this posting, the said Oyo-Tin wedding video now has more than half-a-million hits since it has become available for viewing last Sunday, January 30, 2011.

Bong Sare actually first posted it on Vimeo on January 13, a day after the wedding of Kristine and Oyo at Club Balai Isabel in Batangas, but it was set to private. It's only last Jan. 30 that the video becomes open for public viewing.

The couple's wedding video is so cool and really shows how happy they were on that special day.

"Iñigo Pascual's duet with Papa P", "Celebrity Weddings", "Binibining Pilipinas" are 'hottest items' in January 2011

The duet of Iñigo Pascual and his Papa (Piolo Pascual), the candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2011, Willie Revillame's latest outburst and big-time celebrity weddings were among the "hottest items" on Mykiru Isyusero in January 2011.

Those hottest items were the 20 most viewed posts on this blog last month.

The Top 20 is actually full of posts about weddings, 9 of which are about the 2 weddings held in January (Kristine-Oyo, Roxanne-Elton nuptials) and even the 2 weddings that happened last December (Maggie-Victor, Ogie-Regine nuptials).

But those are expected.

I am more amazed with the duet of Papa P and his son Iñigo Pascual. Their 2-minute duet during Piolo's birthday celebration on ASAP Rocks last Jan. 9 drew so much attention to become one of the hottest items last month, ranking 13th just behind those usual "hits".

It was actually Iñigo's first ever TV appearance (and also his first performance on TV).

Last July, the Twitter issue between "Inigo" (allegedly a poser) and Piolo's now girlfriend KC Concepcion was also among the most popular topics for that month ranking 2nd and even continued as among the hottest in August.

And for the over-all Top 50 posts for 2010, the said Twitter controversy ranked 17th.

It's a proof that many people are really interested with Piolo's son.

Other hot items in January was the Daniel Matsunaga elevator video, Jasmine Curtis meeting Mark Salling in Boracay and the TV Patrol's footage of Boracay tourists doing a "thing" in the island.

Roxanne Guinoo's wedding the other day was a star-filled one with no less than Ms. Maricel Soriano being part of the wedding entourage.

Of course with Roxanne being a star herself, it was expected that some
of the biggest names in showbiz were present at her intimate wedding with non-showbiz boyfriend Elton Yap, who also happens to be the cousin of Tim Yap.

The Diamond Star, who was as gorgeous as the bride, is pictured above with Director Rahyan Carlos. The two were among the principal sponsors.

Direk Rahyan was the director of the 2009 horror series "Florinda" which starred both Maricel and Roxanne.

Roxanne Guinoo and Elton Yap wedding video released | Roxanne cries during wedding vows. Touching!

Roxanne Guinoo and Elton Yap's wedding video has just been released today, a day after their wedding.

And I super love it! I can feel the emotion and the love between Roxanne Guinoo and Elton Yap, who's 3 years younger than Roxanne.

Kudos to wedding videographer Jason Magbanua. He has made another tastefully done wedding video. (He's the same man who gave us the Maggie Wilson - Victor Consunji pre-nup video.)

On his official site, Jason said that Roxanne's wedding vows almost made him cry. "All past pains, triumph and joy were encapsulated in her words. I could probably post everything unabridged and unedited here and you’d still watch it all the way through," he said.

He also took notice of the huge attendance at the church. "The huge parish church was packed to the rafters, you’ve seen other videos and you know it takes quite a lot to fill it up. They were a couple much loved."

Wedding reception followed at the NBC Tent in Taguig City.

Roxanne Guinoo and Elton Yap got married in a church wedding held today, January 23, 2011, in Santuaryo de San Antonio Church in Manila.

Roxanne was another picture of a happy and beautiful bride in her white wedding dress, just like Kristine Hermosa who got married last January 12.

Her beautiful wedding gown was designed by Pepsi Herrera.

Among the principal sponsors were TV host Boy Abunda, Dra. Vicki Belo, Direactor Rahyan Carlos and the Diamond Star, Ms. Maricel Soriano.

Mariel Rodriguez, Regine Angeles and Charlene Gonzalez meanwhile were among the secondary sponsors.

Also in attendance were Toni Gonzaga, Angelica Panganiban, Ara Mina and Jomari Yllana.

As I write this, the wedding reception is still ongoing at the NBC Tent in Taguig, with Elton's cousin Tim Yap as host.

According to Tim Yap on Twitter, South Border and Kris Lawrence were among the performers at the reception.
