Kim Sung-hoon, former manager and agent of the late South Korean actress Jang Ja-Yeon (박선자), has been arrested in Tokyo, Japan on Wednesday, June 24, for violating Japan's immigration law, according to reports.
King Sung-hoon was reportedly overstaying in Japan to avoid being arrested in connection with the suicide of Boys Over Flowers (BOF) actress Jang Ja-Yeon.
Last March 7 in Seoul, South Korea, Jang Ja-Yeon, 26, was found dead at her residence and apparently committed suicide.
It was reported that before Jang Ja-Yeon committed suicide, Kim Sung-hoon allegedly beat her up after she refused to have sex with powerful entertainment and media personalities to promote her struggling career.
Boys Over Flowers, which was a big hit in South Korea and is currently airing in the Philippines on ABS-CBN, was Jang Ja-Yeon's first ever TV show.
In Boys Over Flowers, Jang Ja-Yeon played "Sunny", one of the three "mean" girls at ShinHwa University who kept on bullying Geum Jan Di played by Goo Hye Sun (구혜선).
Kim Sung-hoon will be deported to South Korea, who earlier requested the Japanese authority to return him to South Korea following the death of Jang Ja-Yeon.
