Angelo Reyes' life story to be made into movie

A movie about Sec. Angelo Reyes, who died on Tuesday, is what director Carlo J. Caparas is planning to produce.

Caparas and wife Donna Villa were among those who went to Sec. Angelo Reyes' wake at Camp Aguinaldo yesterday and there Direk Carlo said that he's interested in making a movie out of Sec. Reyes' life.

It will already be Direk Carlo's 2nd attempt to make a movie about Sec. Reyes. The first one was after the EDSA Dos where Reyes played an important part.

It's not yet sure though if the family of Reyes is open to that idea of making a movie about their patriarch.

The movie for sure will center on the honorable works of Reyes, from being the AFP Chief-of-Staff to his involvement in EDSA Dos and to being appointed Secretary of 4 various government offices.

It's a big challenge for the writers of the possible movie as to how they're gonna justify why Sec. Reyes committed suicide as his way to end up his honorable life.

According to Caparas, what Reyes did wasn't a suicide, but a sacrifice. "Kung gagawa kami ng istorya tungkol sa sundalo, ito na ang tinatawag natin na best dahil sa extreme courage na ipinakita ni Secretary Reyes. Sakripisyo ang ipinakita niya, hindi suicide," Caparas said on TV Patrol last night.

If you were to decide, who do you think should portray Sec. Angelo Reyes in a possible movie?

I think they'll be needing three generations of actors to play the role of Sec. Reyes.
