Talent manager Wyngard Tracy dies

One sad news broke out in Philippine showbiz this morning that the well-respected talent manager Wyngard Tracy has died.

Wyngard passed away at 3:45 AM today, November 16, 2010, at the Makati Medical Center due to stroke complications.

He was the manager of Richard Gomez, Lucy Torres, Wendell Ramos, John Estrada, Jaya, Aiko Melendez, Side A, Freestyle and Maricel Soriano. He also managed Willie Revillame and Toni Gonzaga long time ago.

Prior to his death at 3:45, Wyngard Tracy was already reported as dead last night when in fact he was still alive and fighting for his life at the ICU of Makati Med.

Entertainment writer Dinno Erece posted a tweet at around 10PM last night that Wyngard Tracy already died.

It even prompted TV host and TV5 executive Paolo Bediones to tweet his goodbye to Wyngard at 12 midnight. He said, "Thank you 4 always supporting me in believing in my abilities from Day 1, almost 15 years ago. I wouldn't be where I am w/o u :)".

Erece later apologized for the wrong info he posted on Twitter. "OMG I almost killed someone. Wyngard is still in the ICU fighting for his life. VERY SORRY. Please pray for him."

But at 4 o'clock this morning, comedian Chokoleit posted a tweet confirming his death at 3:45 AM today.

Two hours later (around 6AM), Paolo re-posted the same and exact tweet he made at midnight.

For the viewers, Wyngard was most familiar to them as the judge on GMA 7's Pinoy Idol and on ABS-CBN's Search for the Star in a Million.

He was also a contestant on GMA's Celebrity Duets Season 1 and his last TV appearance was as a judge in Showtime and Magpasikat on ABS-CBN early this 2010.
