Boxing champ Edwin Valero dies in jail

Venezuelan undefeated boxer Edwin Valero has died while in jail early morning of Monday, April 19, 2010, in Venezuela.

Initial investigation says that Valero hanged himself in jail using the clothes he was wearing. But the police are still doing further investigation to find out if there was any foul play.

Valero was in prison because he was suspected of killing wife Carolina Viera Valero a day before (April 18).

He was only 28 (December 3, 1981 to April 19, 2010) and his professional boxing record was 27 wins with 0 losses (all victories were by knockout).

Valero was reportedly on shortlist as possible opponent of Filipino pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.

It saddens everyone that in just one day, Valero's lil kids have lost their parents instantly.
