Chinese-American actor Daniel Wu, who's a movie superstar in Hong Kong, has married Eurasian-American girlfriend Lisa Selesner (pictures above).
And the said marriage has surprised Chinese fans because it was secretly done on April 6 in South Africa but it was only announced just yesterday, April 18.
The announcement came from Daniel Wu and Lisa Selesner via their respective blogs. On Daniel Wu's blog ( alivenotdead.com/daniel ), he wrote, "On April 6, Lisa and I were married in a beautiful forest in South Africa. It was a very special ceremony. The energy and love that we felt was very intense and amazing. I will never forget that day!"
Then Lisa also posted this on her blog ( alivenotdead.com/lisas ): "We are now officially Mr. & Mrs. Wu. We took the plunge near my house in South Africa. It was a mystical, rustic, pure, beautiful ceremony that blew the socks off all of our guests. I couldn't have even imagined a better way to get married. Definitely one of the happiest days of my life!"
The announcement was a big surprise to fans of Wu, who's considered a heartthrob in HK China. Some fans feel jealous and sad but many are congratulating them and wishing them the best.
Daniel Wu and Lisa Selesner were bf-gf for 8 years. Daniel is a popular model turned actor in a number of Chinese films, some of them were shown in the Philippines. Among his movies are Gen-X Cops, Love Undercover, New Police Story, Around the World in 80 Days, The Banquet and Shinjuku Incident with Jackie Chan.
Lisa Selesner, best known as Lisa S., is a top Hongkong-based model and a VJ on Channel V.
